Ardha Chandrasana (half moon)

Recently at home I’ve been able to do standing poses again, because my feet, ankles, and knees are stable once more.  (Goody!)  It’s mostly been Trikonasana (triangle) and Uttitha Parsvakonasana (extended side angle).

Yesterday in class we did Ardha Chandrasana (half moon).  I just plain loved it.  It’s so far the only pose I can do where my body feels normal again.  That great big extension is a pure treat.  I feel energy just shooting out everywhere.

I meant to get someone to take my picture doing it to post here (and then I would have been able to see how high my top leg was), but I forgot.  So here are a few links to images:

  1. Mollyavalon, you have been needing that! How great that your feet, ankles, and knees are holding you more firmly once more, and that you can get that big extension. S T R E T C H !

  2. I had my camera with me yesterday. Let’s do take some photos of each other–that’s what I bought the camera for in the first place and have never used it that way!!
