I’m getting a whole bunch of physical therapy right now, and I’m kinda thrilled to see how helpful my yoga practice is with some of the exercises. My balance is quite good even though my feet and ankles are currently wonked out, and it’s due in large part to the efforts I’ve made over the years to master the balancing poses.
The therapist has me doing things to strengthen my shoulders, and I can just hear my teachers voices in my head (“roll your shoulders back and down”).
It makes me realize I can do pretty much all my physical therapy myself, combining yoga with what they’re having me do in the pool and the gym. Good thing, too, because each session of PT costs a whopping $250. Time to move along, I think.
